Wholesale Content Connect (WCC) is a new product that is in trial, the aim of the product is to bring Content such as Video On Demand closer to the End User (EU).
The WCC network is designed and optimized for video traffic with dedicated links to CPs / ISPs instead of the public network. Content is delivered from the closest point of storage to the EU. CPs/ISPs can supply End to End Quality of Service enhancing the EU experience.
We can achieve this as we have the largest network footprint in the UK supporting over 5500 exchanges which supplies 20c and 21c Broadband services to millions of EUs.
All benefit in the Supply Chain of Content and the benefit of this to the EU is improved experience, to the CP/ISP reduced backhaul costs, to the Content Service Provider removal of possible quality constraints, a win win with BTW bringing it together with you.
